About the New York Mets
The New York Mets have been capturing the hearts of New York's "other" baseball fans since 1962. Born from the void left when the Dodgers and Giants departed for California, the Mets quickly established their own identity—one marked by lovable underdogs, miraculous comebacks, and devoted fans who believe even when logic says otherwise.
The Mets' greatest moments are the stuff of legend: the "Miracle Mets" of 1969, the 1986 championship featuring the Bill Buckner play, and countless pennant races that kept fans on the edge of their seats. Playing at Citi Field in Queens since 2009, the Mets honor their history while providing a modern, fan-friendly ballpark experience.
A Mets game at Citi Field is a celebration of New York baseball passion. The 7 Line Army in the stands, the Home Run Apple, and the energy of a Queens crowd create an atmosphere unlike any other. Whether you're watching a summer weeknight game or October playoff baseball, the Mets deliver an authentic New York experience.
